ABAVO OIL CRISIS: POLICE DECLARE LATE AHIJO PHILIP FAMILY WANTED


The Delta State Police Command has declared the family of late Ahijo Philip wanted. 
This was made known to newsmen in a press conference by the Delta State Commissioner of Police Ikechukwu Aduba at the Police Headquarter Asaba Delta State. 
The Commissioner of Police said that Ahijo Fabian, Ahijo John, Ahijo Mary, Ahijo Nkem and Ahijo Justina are all wanted in connection to the murder of one Odeh Chukwuka, and their role in the Abavo crisis.

The CP said that a ransom of 2 million each has been placed on the suspects adding that anyone with useful information on the whereabout of the Ahijo family should come forward.     
On further investigation, sources revealed that trouble started when Ahijo Philip who shared a common boundary with one Okonta Mathew had dispute over the ownership of a piece of land where oil was discovered.

A source said that the matter got to a point where the issue was brought before the Abavo Monarch, His Royal Majesty Uche Irenuma for settlement. 
Speaking further, our source stated that instead of the monarch settling the matter before him, the monarch claimed that none of the claimants have right over the parcel of land as it now belongs to the Royal family.   
AHIJO PHILIP BURNT PROPERTY
Another source revealed that in the struggle that ensued after the monarch’s claim, one of the Obi’s thugs was mistakenly killed. The Obi, blamed Ahijo Philip and his family over the killing while he ordered his thugs to kill all the Ahijo family which led to the murder of Ahijo Philip, burning alive of Ahijo Wisdom and the setting ablaze of Ahijo Philips property worth millions of naira.

Attempts to reach any of Ahijo family proved abortive as they all have ran away to unknown destination.
