They were said to have been caught in the unholy act by the some community indigenes while Happy narrowly escaped and his partner, Kelvin who was unlucky, was seriously beaten before handed over to the police.
It was learnt from a reliable source that the police are working alongside the vigilante to fish out the suspect Happy.
"Homosexuality is a taboo, our customs and traditions forbids it. It is viewed as inhuman and alien to our conservative nation," the source said.
It could be recalled that the Nigeria's former president, Goodluck Jonathan, had signed the national bill prohibiting guy practise (Homosexual) into law. The law forbids any cohabitation between persons of the same-sex sexual pertners and bans any "public show of same sex amorous relationship." Punishmenti to the crime are severe, ranging from 10 to14 years in prison. This has also led dozens of homosexuals fled the country in recent times due to increase harrasment, arrests and violation of their human right.
However, the Police command pledged to reward anyone with useful information to the whereabout of Okoh Happy.
