A chap, Osasuyi Oriri from Igbanke in Orhionwon Local Government Area of Edo State is currently on the run for the offence of homosexuality and has been declared wanted by the Nigeria Police.
Our reporter gathered that Osasuyi Oriri was first declared wanted by his community (Igbanke) for defiling the land. He was alleged to have caught committing an act of homosexuality with his gay partner called Ezekiel Onaro who hails from Agbor-Nta in Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State, on the 5th of March, 2015 in an undisclosed hotel in Igbanke.
Meanwhile, Osasuyi Oriri was said to have escaped death by the whiskers as his gay partner; Ezekiel Onaro was lynched to death by the angry mob that descended on them.
A source from Igbanke Community disclosed that Osasuyi Oriri should thank his God that he escaped death because many have been lynched to death for offence of homosexuality . He said Osasuyi Oriri is still not safe as many awaits his return to stone him to death for desecrating the land, saying that homosexual practice is abominable in Igbanke and as well goes against the religious, cultural and constitutional provision of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Our source further revealed that Osasuyi Oriri has been a homosexual right from his primary school days but was overlooked as a child and upon all forms of scolding, he fails to change. Now the Nigerian Police, Igbanke Division are seriously in search of Osasuyi Oriri.
However, the Edo State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Joseph Edoigiawerie has condemned the jungle justice leading to the death of Osasuyi Oriri’s gay partner, Ezekiel Onaro.
