He said that Richard's blackmailer, Marvin Adewale was accompanied by his neighbors who in their statements at the police station said that they heard Adewale shouting in his room few minutes after his friend and co-worker, Richard walked in and when they broke the door, they met both of them having sex on the bed, brought Richard outside, paraded him and beat him up before he handed over to the police. He said that Marvin Adewale denied being a gay, nothing that Richard was trying to introduce him to the act and that was why he started shouting and drew the attention of his neighbors and friends around. The incident according to him, took place on Saturday November, 2016.
Speaking further, DSP Oladokun disclosed that he also leant that Richard and Marvin work at a Biscuit Factory called," Beloxxi in Agbara of Ojo Local Government Area of Lagos State, where they met each other.
Continuing, the P.R.O said that during their investigation and interrogation processes at the police custody, Richard confessed that he is a gay and that he started having such sexual feelings at a very tender age. According to Richard's comments," in the year 2011, during my first year in the high school, Badagry Grammar School, I had a friend a neighbor who is also my school mate. His name was Precious Udele. He was two years older than me and a good friend indeed. During the school time we were always together even at home. I had my first sexual experience with him during one of my stay at his place with his elder brother, Samuel.
On that fateful day we were playing a game of parent when Samuel suggested that we should have sex with him which Precious gladly accepted, telling me that it was not the first time both of them were doing it. That was how I started it even till the end of the our senior high school in 2013 when we decided to secure admission in the same Ambrose Ali University Ekpoma, Edo State and rented the same apartment in order for us to keep the relationship going.
After sometime at the University, Precious started having a fall out by dating another guy. Because of this, I became upset and started having an open relationship with another guy of my choice. I dated this new guy for sometime until when the Edo State Governorship Election which causes an uproar in the state and which also affected the school as some political figures from the opposition party, the People's Democratic party (PDP) started mobilizing students for thuggery and protest. These actually led to the destruction of so many school's properties and it was the reason why I decided to travel back to Lagos to start working with the Biscuits Factory where I met Marvin," he stated.
In addition, DSP Oladokun stressed that Richard was seriously injured by the Adewale neighbors before handing him over to them. He said because of the injuries that were all over his body, the police decided that he should be granted bail to enable him go for a medical treatment and return to the station when he is better. He said they leant that Richard escaped from the hospital with the injuries.
In his words," the Nigerian constitution has it that anyone caught in homosexual activities should be charged for a live imprisonment so as to serve as deterrent to other gays and Lesbians in the society. I want to make it clear to the public that Richard Daniyan has been declared wanted. So, anyone with relevant information about his whereabouts should report to the nearest police station," he concluded.
