IPOB PROTEST: ABANUKAM MODESTUS CHINONYE DECLARED WANTED

An indigene of Imo State, Mr. Abanukam Modestus Chinonye has been declared wanted by the men of Nigerian police over an alleged involvement in a peaceful demonstration for succession which took place in 2014. 
 
Speaking with Ika Weekly Correspondent in Imo State, an IPOB Secretary General, Mr. Lawrence Okorocha said that he was a witness to the protest that Abanukam Midestus Chinonye and other youths of the Indigenous People Of Biafra(IPOB) recently carried out in Imo State. He further disclosed that the purpose of organizing the peaceful demonstration according to the aggressive youths was to enable the entire people of Biafra States gain sovereignty, independence and total freedom from the Nigerian Government's leadership and control.
 
In addition, Mr. Okorocha stated that during the protest some IPOB symbols such as flags, customized caps, T_shirts and other items were sampled. He noted that the youths were during the protest, agitating that they will not hesitate to murder any security agencies or group of persons that are against their freedom of rights. He said the youths were also calling for the release of the founder of Radio Biafra, Mr. Nnamdi Kanu, a biafran public analyst whom he said was arrested by the security operatives while he was fighting for the freedom of his people.
As at the time of filing this report, Mr. Abanukam Modestus Chinonye, Mr. Ugbekile Augustus, Mr. Kelvin Mbakwe, Mr. Hillary Monachi, Mr. Kingsley Chinnwe and other victims of the protest have been declared missing as they have run for the safety of their dear lives. Some youths were also reported death during the protest. 
Addressing the newsmen, a Divisional Police Officer(DPO), ASP Aylvanus Mamadu said  that shortly the demonstration lifeless bodies of some protesters who include Mr. Ken Okoro, Mr. Benjamin N. and others were recovered by his men. He said that the Government has ordered  the security agencies to either kill or arrest the protesters whenever they are found to enable them face the consequences. He concluded by urging the youths to shun social vices in the country.
