Mr.
Stephen Uyanna of Anieyeme Quarters, Igbodo in Ika North East Local
Government Area of Delta State,Nigeria has raised an alarm over the
disappearance of his 29 years old son, Onyeka Uyanna following the
threats to kill him by the thugs of one, Hon. Doris Uboh, House of
Representatives, Ika Federal Constituency candidate of the Accord Party
(AP)
Onyeka Uyanna |
According
to Mr. Stephen Uyanna, “my son, Onyeka was last seen two weeks after
the general elections. Before his sudden disappearance, Hon. Uboh thugs
were after him to kill him because of his refusal to allow the election
where he worked in polling unit 7, Igbodo to be rigged in her favour.
Having lost out to Hon. Victor Nwokolo, of the Peoples Democratic Party
(PDP), Uboh’s thugs have come to my house severally threatening that
Onyeka must be gunned down whenever he is seen just like others who
contributed to their failure. Onyeka was on one occasion shot but God
preserved his life. The trauma members of my family are passing through
now is his whereabouts which has remained unknown. Our fears and worries
over Onyeka disappearance is that his life has been under threat”.
While
lamenting the politics of bitterness played in the country, Mr. Stephen
Uyanna said the matter has been reported to Igbodo Police Division for
investigation. He said his son, Onyeka stood for free and fair election
even as he cried out for justice.
Hon. Doris Uboh however has denied having a hand in the disappearance of Onyeka and other people who were murdered by her thugs.
