Ika Weekly Newspaper reporter gathered from the Divisional Police Officer in charge of Agbor Police Division, Superintendent Albert Uchechi Dike who frowned at Amunu Cosmas’ involvement in the act, that it is a very serious offence that goes against the religion, culture and constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
While assuring that the division will leave no stone unturned in fishing out Amunu Cosmas, DPO Dike said his gay partner who gave his name as Francis Ibe has given up the ghost following the torture he received at the time of his arrest. He also revealed that the community which Amunu Cosmas hails from in Agbor is in search of him to kill him and use his blood to appease the gods of the land for the abominable act.
The police boss called on members of the public who have information about Amunu Cosmas’ whereabouts to inform the division, as a handsome reward awaits whoever is able to divulge credible information concerning his whereabouts.
A visit to Cosmas, family home, his father, Pa. Godday Amunu stated that they have declared him missing as his whereabouts is unknown after the death of his elder brother, Amunu Okoh whom he lives with in Kano. In tears, Pa Amunu lamented that his son, Cosmas fled to Kano after he was been declared wanted by the police and the community for his involvement in homosexual on November 25, 2014, and the worst  happened when his senior son whom Cosmas ran to stay with in Kano for shelter died in bomb blast on November 28, 2014. “At the moment, I am a confused man with ugly occurrences around me and I am helpless,” he said.
