CULTISTS REVISIT FAMILY, INJURED ONE, KILLED MOTHER AND DAUGHTER AND ONE OTHER PERSON
Mrs. Jennifer Kennedy and her daughter Kennita Kennedy Chiamada including the mother of Mr. Kennedy Isaac Chinonso, Mrs. Chidi Isaac have been murdered in cold blood by some group of cultists whom they said that walked into their apartment, located at No. 2, Odah Close by Powerline, Boji-Boji Delta state, at about 10pm and opened fire on them.
It was learnt that before killing the family members and injured one on 31st of December, 2025 the cultists have made efforts on January 29, 2021 to kill her son, Mr. Kennedy Isaac Chinonso but they could not succeed.
According to the report as at that time, Chinonso narrowly escaped death, as he was attacked by some cultists who were identified as Aro-Barger Fraternity members.
The Divisional Police Officer (DPO), Owa-Oyibu Police Divisional Headquarters, Ika North-East Local Government Area of Delta State said who briefed Newsmen on the matter said, "I received a phone call from the management of the Keziah Hotel, located along Owa-Ekei Road, Boji-Boji Owa, Delta State informing me that I should mobilize my men to the hotel that cultists are in the premises, attacking people and shooting sporadically to the air.
On getting there, we discovered that they purposely came for one Mr. Kennedy Isaac Chinonso who was celebrating his birthday anniversary with his friends and well-wishers at the Keziah Hotel's Reception before the arrival of cultists.
"It was quite unfortunate that we did not apprehend any of the six cultists that came to kill this young man, ( Kennedy Isaac Chinonso). But our happiness is that the bullets did not touch him, "they said.
Speaking further, the DPO noted that he has put all the necessary measures in to ensure that those cultists are fished out to use as deterrent to other cultists in the society.
He warned youths to shun cultism and look for something better to do with their lives.
Also speaking, an eye witness who spoke on the condition of anonymity, disclosed that he was the one who accompanied Chinonso to book the hotel.
" He said (eye witness), When we got to the hotel to pay for the reception we used for the birthday, the manager asked the celebrant to drop his Identity Card with him which Kennedy Isaac Chinonso did, it is through the ID the police used indentified and know more about the celebrant.
"When the cultists discovered that Kennedy Isaac Chinonso had escaped, they went and destroyed all his birthday items including some of the hotel's properties, "he concluded.
Sequel to the recent development, Mrs.Jennifer Kennedy and her daughter Kennita Kennedy Chiamada and Chinonso's mother, Mrs. Chidi Isaac were kill by the same cultists while Kenisha Kennedy Chikamso is the only surviving but seriouslly injured and receiving treatment in undisclosed hospital. An eye witness said they heard some voices around, as people were also shouting and crying for help at about 10pm, unknowingly to them that they came for Mrs. Jennifer Kennedy and her entire family.
According to the source, "Shortly after hearing the people's voices, then we began to hear gunshots and it was in the morning when the Ambulance came to carry the corpse to the mortuary that we discovered fully, what happened.
Continuing, the eye witness stated that what pained her most is that Mrs Jennifer Kennedy and her two daughters Kenisha Kennedy Chikamso and Kennita Kennedy Chiamada recently returned from Cyprus about one year ago when the incident happened
As at the time of gathering this report, the police were already around for proper investigation.
