OSISA FULANI HERDSMEN ATTACK: OKPARA BLESSING DECLARED MISSING
Following the recent attack of Fulani herdsmen which led to bloodshed and loss of lives, the Okparafamily of Osisa Community in Ndokwa-East Local Government Area of Delta State has declared one of their granddaughters, Okpara Blessing missing.
Missing Okpara BlessingIt was gathered that Okpara Blessing, aged 17 was last seen July 23, 2006, the very day, Fulani herdsmen attacked their Osisa Community which claimed the life of her father, Okpara Alex.
Okpara Blessing being declared missing was disclosed by a close family source who stated that her whereabouts have remained a mystery and a serious concern to the entire Okpara family over her safety.
“It was after her disappearance we got to know she was the one who disclosed to the elders of the community that some people were aiding the Fulani herdsmen attack because of the share of the money they receive from the ransom paid each time for the release of those kidnapped during the attack.
“Our sister's life has been under threat as persons she mentioned aiding the Fulani herdsmen attack are on the run threatening to kill her before they will be apprehended by the police to face their wrath of the law.
“Occasionally, unknown faces suspected to be assassins visited Okpara Blessing’s home asking for her whereabouts”.
Continuing, the source said that the Okpara family is worried because they cannot afford to lose father and daughter at the same time.
