Residents flee as Islamic group, cultists clash

The recent clash between an Islamic group, known as, Shiite Muslims and cultists in Boji-Boji metropolitan area in Agbor, headquarters of Ika South Local Government Area, Delta State,have led to the death of many youths in the area as residents flee for safety.

  The dare devilled Islamic insurgents and cultists (members of the Eiye Confraternity) have been at logger heads over who controls political and social activities in the area.
  The recent clash that later culminated to bloodshed started two months ago, October, 2019 after a strong argument ensued among them during a ceremony in the area.

  The victims of the crisis were both the old and young people. The worst affected were families of Okoro Uche, John Igwe, Ekunleye Bamidele Kings, Kelvin Dibie, Chuks Ndidi, Maxwell Okolie, Gideon Ijenwa, and Okafor James whose dear ones were killed in the crisis.
  The once quiet, peaceful and busy community is now a ghost of itself as residents had run for their dear lives.
  Meanwhile, security agencies in Delta State, have vowed to end the crisis which unfortunately, has taken human lives and rendered business activities useless.
