The Director, Department of State Security Delta State, who was present at the meeting, said the letter and the subsequent peaceful protest by the organization was a wake-up call for his department saying that there is no way the police can function effectively without the help of the local police. He stated that henceforth, his unit would involve Anioma Security Watch in strategic reviews.
On his own part, the Commissioner of Police, Delta State, thanked members of Anioma Security Watch for the support they have been giving to the police force while he urged them to remain calm as the police force and the state government is doing everything possible to ensure that Delta state is peaceful.
