Despair As Fulani Herdsmen, Terrorizes Ika Residents

Despair As Fulani Herdsmen, Terrorizes Ika Residents

"Rapes Pregnant Woman To Forceful Delivery, Throws Baby To Dogs

By Xavier Ugbomah

Ika a once peaceful community have been thrown into a state of despair as the community is now ravaged by the constant terror of Fulani herdsmen.

These ruthless attackers strike without warning, leaving a trail of destruction and fear in their wake. The once peaceful area  is now a place of despair and hardship. It seems like no one is safe, as innocent villagers are targeted with weapons and livelihoods are destroyed.

As the attacks intensify, the residents of Ika live in a constant state of fear. Many have been forced to flee their homes, while those who remain are forced to endure the terror day after day. The psychological toll of living in such a dangerous environment is immeasurable. The community is left in a state of despair, with no end in sight.

The Ika  community has suffered great economic harm due to the repeated attacks by the Fulani herdsmen. The devastation of farms and crops has caused severe hardship for many, as they struggle to support themselves.

These herdsmen bring their cattle onto people's land, destroying their crops in the process. As a result, what was once a thriving community is now left in ruins, with a bleak outlook for the future.

Despite the ongoing terror and destruction, the government's response has been lackluster at best. The residents of Ika feel abandoned and neglected by those in power, adding to their feelings of despair.

There seems to be no limit to the wickedness of these terrorists. Not long ago, a pregnant woman was snatched from her farm in Okpe, Abavo. The cruel Fulani Herdsmen took advantage of her, subjecting her to rape and even forcing her to give birth. But their brutality did not stop there. They callously tossed the newborn to their dogs.

These invaders have no regard for human life, brazenly attacking and abducting innocent people. The Fulani terrorists spread terror among their victims and anyone who opposes them, mercilessly taking lives and wiping out entire families if they dare to speak up against their despicable actions.

It is time for the government to take action and fulfill its responsibility. People are being murdered and taken captive every day, and those who try to speak out against this menace become targets themselves. It is a dire situation that must be addressed immediately.

It was also gathered from a source who claimed anonymity that Ijeoma's gay act was exposed on July 29, 2023, while attempting to have anal sex with his male friend, Sunday Okocha who paid him a visit but he raised alarm.

According to Mr. Okocha who narrated his ordeal, he said he visited Ijeoma and after entertaining him with liquor fell asleep under the influence of alcohol.

Continuing, he stated, “It was when I was asleep that I felt a touch and immediately I opened my eyes to see Ijeoma who was naked and pleading with me to allow him to sleep with me. I shouted and my voice attracted people in the neighbourhood who forced the door open to rescue me.

“ Ijeoma ran away through the back door knowing that homosexuality is a great offence and those who are caught in the act are most likely to be stoned to death. Some youths who came to my rescue expressed disappointment at not apprehending Ijeoma who they've long suspected to be involved in gay practice. They said Ijeoma will come back to face the wrath of being a gay”.

The source also disclosed that the people of Abavo Community seriously frowned against homosexuality because it is considered sacrilegious which involved a deadly sacrifice.
