MICHAEL DICKSON RUNS FOR DEAR LIFE

The elders of Idumuozoge quarters of Owa-Alero Community, Ika North East Local Government Area of Delta State, during a meeting held on January 22, 2015 declared one Michael Dickson wanted over their missing ancestral stone.

According to a source in the community, the wanted Michael Dickson, father of two children and a Maison (builder) was the one accused of being responsible for the missing ancestral stone which belongs to the community.

The ancestral stone was reported missing on December 20, 2014 by the community chief priest, Nat Okoro. Accusing fingers have continued to point at Michael Dickson who was on several occasions spotted along the path leading to the shrine before the ancestral stone was found missing.

Michael Dickson was then given two-months to provide the ancestral stone, but he fled knowing that he will be killed and his blood will be used for cleansing to appease the gods  if he fails to produce the mysterious stone.

The wanted Michael Dickson before now was blacklisted as a questionable character in the community for committing act of homosexuality with his gay partner, popularly known as Sokoto who was killed by an angry mob.

The practice of gay and lesbianism are viewed as abominable acts in Owa-Alero which traditionally attracts death sentence.

Meanwhile, the community vigilante chairman, Okoro Emmanuel has said that anyone who sees Michael Dickson anywhere should inform the community leaders so as to come and face the wrath of the community which is death for what they said is a sacrilegious offence. In this case the government of the day is indifferent to such pronouncement as its purely a traditional matter.
