The Nigerian Police in Badagary Police Divisional Headquarters, Badagary, Lagos State has declared Richard Daniya, a student of Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, and an only son of his parents who is said to be an Igarra indigene in Akoko Edo LGA of Edo State wanted as he is reported to have escaped from Police custody after he was arrested about few weeks ago for allegedly involving in homosexualism.
According to reports made available to Ika Weekly, Richard Daniyan was introduced into the epidemic act which has gained wild practice by members of the public despite the stringent punishment attached to anyone caught in the act by his friend, Precious Udele, during their early school days in the tertiary institution.
More so, it was also gather that in 2016, Richard travelled to Lagos to spend his holiday after the end of semester where he applied for a job at Beloxxi Biscuits at Agbara, Ojo Local Government of Lagos State and was subsequently employed at the Factory’s Management Section where he met Marvin Adewale, who later exposed him.
Richard was reported to have enticed the young man, Marvin Adewale with so many glittery promises accompanied with several gifts which compelled Marvin to give him partial acceptance in order that Richard will reduce the heat of demand for relationship with him.
However, the acceptance of Richard’s proposal preceded several visitation demands which Marvin was said to have obliged on the condition that he came over to his home instead of Richard’s. Finally, on November 1, 2016, Richard visited Marvin at his residence at his home at Ebiya, Badagary L.G.A of Lagos State and met his doom as Marvin rushed out of the house after Richard had undressed to raise alarm, calling neigbours to see the gay at his residence.
Marvin was therefore, caught and lynched my neighbours before he was handed over to the Nigerian Police.
In a statement released by the District Police Officer (DPO), ASP Adeyemi Folarunsho of the Badagary Police Divisional Headquarters, Badagary, Lag os State stated that homosexualism is an offence punishable by 14 years imprisonment according the Law of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, saying that the epidemic has eaten so deep into most Nigerians as the practice is on the increase despite its consequences which he has vowed to use anything possible to combat the epidemic is completely eradicated as no one found guilty of homosexual will be made to face the wrath of the law.
While confirming Richard’s escape, he stated that the Nigerian Police will leave no stone unturned to get him from his hiding place and make him face the wrath of the law.
