Two Nigerian men were stripped naked, beaten and paraded on the street by mob with accusation that they were having gay sex.
The incident reportedly happened in the early hours of today being 13th may 2016 in delta state, Ika North East Local Government Area.

The victims’ identities are Mr. Olomah Wisdom and
John Osas. The two victims were subjected to public humiliation and made to
walk naked on the street with what look like palm leaves tied around their
necks and waist by the mob that followed them behind along with crowd of people
who were taking photos, shouting and abusing them.
It is strongly believed that the homophobic
criminals, who carried out the barbaric act were trying all means to portray
them as abominations, hence why they tied leaves around the innocent victims
bodies.

A dipper inquiry into the incident by the police and
the community vigilante called norawarima reveals that the victims have been
apprehended by the customer who came to buy goods from one of the victims fathers
shop after serious beating John Osas got fainted, Mr. Olomah (Wisdoms Father) was a well
respected man and also a rich man in the community, and also a chief. During
the beating, the father’s coold room was destroyed so he ran to the police
station to make report. When the police came the mob ran and the boy manages to
escape to unknown destination till date.

It was now claim that the taboo, that the boy’s sacrilege
was one of the reasons the boy’s father was rich, the boy ran to the central
hospital for treatment because he was badly injured from their he escaped
according to eye witness. John Osas was taking to the police station and he
confessed to have committed the crime and blamed it on the devil.

He however promised not to do it again. While he was
explaining an argument ensured on wether they should lynch him or not. However
the police in the district is still looking for olomah wisdom his gay partner
who escaped. Any person with useful information about the where abouts of
olomah wisdom should report to the police station or the norowarima vigilante
group.
