HOMOSEXUALITY: POLICE, COMMUNITY DECLARES NDUKA AUGUSTINE WANTED

After ten years, Nduka Augustine from Ekuku Agbor in Ika South Local Government Area has remained a wanted person by the Nigeria Police Force for homosexual conduct.

This was disclosed to newsmen by his paternal family of Iwezu of Ekuku-Agbor in Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State when he ( Nduka) denounced  his membership of their family as a result of the recurring disgrace his acts of homosexuality has brought upon his family.

                         Wanted Nduka Augustine

Addressing newsmen, the spokesman of Iwezu family, Mr. Edwin Iwezu disclosed that Nduka Augustine is the last child of their late brother and uncle, late Mr. Augustine Iwezu.

According to Mr. Edwin Iwezu, “I have been mandated by the Iwezu family as their spokesman to address newsmen that Nduka Augustine seizes to become a member of their family because due to his abominable act of homosexuality which has continued to tarnish the good image of our family after 10 years.

“We have long waited for this day to end the relationship with Nduka Augustine and free ourselves from the stigma of mockery, shame, and disgrace his dirty act has caused our custom and tradition in Ekuku-Agbor.

“The final decision to disown Nduka Augustine was reached after his mother; Dorothy Augustine reportedly died of HBP on Monday, June 5, 2023, when she could no longer bear the continuous visit and harassment by the community vigilant group who are bent on bringing her son to justice.

“Nduka Augustine’s homosexuality has reduced our family to nothing and now we don't have any say in our community. We would have long before now disowned Nduka Augustine publicly and we will be free from public ridicule that results from the abominable act, but  his late mother has continued to plead against it before she died.

Further speaking with newsmen, Nduka's elder brother, Peter Augustine said he will never forgive his brother (Nduka) for the pain he has caused them over the years. He stated that they are now orphans, with no father and no mother. He also disclosed that Nduka being disowned, means that he has seized to be counted among his late parent’s children just as they have been banned not to interact or have anything to do with him henceforth.

Meanwhile, Comrade Monday Kiyem, the Chairman, Agbor Gha-Ihun Vigilante, an Agbor community vigilante group, said it is a mandate in the community to bring to book those going against community norms and values which Nduka violated and should be punished. He said the punishment for homosexuality according to the Nigerian constitution is 14 years in jail.

Comrade Kiyem stated that the law is sacrosanct no matter how long it takes to apprehend him. He further stressed that sodomy and lesbian practice are by law not allowed and Nduka was more fortunate than lucky not to have been lynched.
