23rd March 2015

OWOLABI IBRAHIM BOLAJI FLEES OVER THREATS TO LIFE BY MEMBERS OF OGBONI FRATERNITY

Mr. Owolabi Ibrahim Bolaji has fled his Mushin residence in Lagos, over threats to his life by members of the Ogboni Fraternity, a secret cult which his late father, Mr. Owolabi Ramoni belonged to before his demise.

Ika Weekly Newspaper Correspondent in Lagos, as at the time of filing this report, learnt that Owolabi Ibrahim Bolaji, as the only grown son of his parents, was asked to  join the Ogboni Fraternity in order to take over his late father's position in the secret cult. Bolaji's late father hailed from Ibadan in Oyo State while his mother, Mrs. Owolabi Tawakalitu is from Kwara State, both of Nigeria.

Speaking with the journalist when we visited her in Lagos Mushin residence, Mrs. Owolabi Tawakalitu, said that," My  son ran away from the house on the 19th of March, 2015. My late husband was a strong member of Osugbo Ogboni Fraternity. This secret cult believes in using animal or human parts to make money (Money Rituals).

I supported my son's running away from home because I never supported my late husband being part of the evil people in Yoruba land. The Ogboni Fraternity members have on several occasions, come to threaten my son to join them or else they will kill him and use his blood to sacrifice to their gods.

I don't want my son to die. I want the human rights activists to come to my aid by helping me to fight this because I cannot fight it alone," she concluded.

Meanwhile, the information reaching the Journalists is that the Ogboni people have promised to reward anyone with reliable information about Bolaji's whereabouts.

The Nigerian Government even before the arrest of the IPOB leader, Mr. Maxi Nnamdi Kalu, C.E.O; Radio Biafra, has on several occasions, sent serious warning to all Nigerians, both home and in diaspora not to partake in any the IPOB's activities. The Federal Government has also vowed to use whoever that is caught parading his or herself with the IPOB'S Identities, like Flags, Identification Cards, Cloths and any of their symbols as deterrent to others, by ensuring that such person faces the wrath of the law. This is to say that the Government of Nigeria is totally against the Indigenous People Of Biafra and also ready to jail anyone who supports the activities.

Journalist from the Ika Weekly Newspaper, Agbor, as at the time of filing this report, learnt that, members of the Usuegbu family are supporters of IPOB. It was also gathered that one of their sons, Mr. Nicko Usuegbu is the IPOB'S Coordinator in Agbor zone and its environs.

Newsmen also gathered that the reason why the Nigerian Authority came for the arrest is because of the information reaching them that Mr. Felix Usuegbu, father to Mr. Felix Onyeka Eze aka 50, is strongly connected to the IPOB.

The Nigerian Authority arrested Mr. Felix Usuegbu, a day before the arrest of his wife, Mrs. Felix Orie. Mr. Felix Osuegbu and his four months old pregnant wife, Orie were allegedly murdered in cold blood by the men from the  Nigerian Authority who came for the arrest in January 10th 2014.

Mr. Nicko Usuegbu, the IPOB Agbor Zonal Coordinator is the younger brother to late Mr. Felix Usuegbu, ( Uncle to Mr. Felix Onyeka Eze and Mr. Felix Kelvin Eruemulor). The Nigerian Authority after the arrest of Mr. and Mrs. Felix Usuegbu, promised to come for their arrest if they fail to provide their Uncle, Mr. Nicko Usuegbu.

We also learnt that Mr. Felix Onyeka Eze and Mr. Felix Kelvin Eruemulor decided to run away from Nigeria because of the threats to get them arrested if they fail to provide their Uncle.

According to a source, who pleaded on the condition of anonymity, stated that he was told that the wanted persons, Onyeka and Eruemulor ran to Niger Republic for the safety of their lives.

Mr. Felix Onyeka Eze was arrested and detained by the Niger Republic Government from February 28, 2014 and handed him over to  the Nigerian Authority on the 25th July, 2018.

Mr. Felix Onyeka Eze is still in the Prison, but the whereabouts of Mr. Nicko Usuegbu and Mr. Felix Kelvin Eruemulor were unknown as at the time of filing this report.

The Nigerian Authority, in a petition letter written against Mr. Felix Onyeka Eze, levied a lot of charges against him. They described him as a terrorist and agent of destruction of the National peace and unity.

Meanwhile, the Nigerian Authority has declared them wanted, promising to reward anyone with reliable information that can lead to their arrest with the sum of Two Million Naira, #2,000:000. The remains of Mr. and Mrs. Felix Usuegbu have been laid to rest.
