IDUMUEDAH COMMUNITY, DECLARE PATRICK CHUKWUYEM PEACEMAKER WANTED.

Idumuesah community in Ika Northeast Local Government Atea of Delta State has declared one Patrick Chukwuyem Peacemaker wanted, over what the community called abominations and sacrilege perpetrated by Patrick Chukwuyem.

This was made known to newsmen, during a meeting of Elders- In-Council of the community, held Friday, January 18, 2011, at the community"s town hall (Ogwa).

According to Pa. Joseph Umuede, who spoke on behalf of the Elders -In-Council, Patrick Chukwuyem Peacemaker is needed by the community, to enable the community to perform the need appeasement for the gods of the land over the numerous abominable and sacrilegious acts he has committed against the land.

He said the youths of the community have been given the mandate to find the culprit and bring him to the elders for the needed appeasement to avoid the wrath of the gods of the land, saying that the abominable acts perpetrated by Patrick Chukwuyem will  bring the wrath of the gods down on the community if the appeasement is not carried out

According to Ika Weekly findings, the real reason why the community declared Patrick Chukwuyem wanted was because of his stand against female circumcision, according to a source, Patrick Chukwuyem has been on the neck of the elders of the community to stop female circumcision and that he went as far as destroying the community shrine accusing them of being backward and uncivilized and this act including threatening members of the Elders -In-Council in their homes that if they do not desist from the wicked tradition, he will deal with them.

The source noted that what led to Patrick Chukwuyem destroying the community"s sacred shrine was when his father Oshiegbu Patrick decided to circumcise one of his daughters, Nkem, Patrick Chukwuyem's elder sister and he warned his father not to but the father went ahead and carried out the circumcision and Nkem died in the process. It was disclosed that the death of Nkem Patrick so pained his elder brother Chukwuyem that he destroyed the community"s shrine.

Sources revealed that to add to Patrick Chukwuyem Peacemaker's problem, his father Oshiegbu Patrick belongs to the dreaded Ogboni Confraternity, and the father as the tradition of the secret cult demands, present one of his children to join the cult. According to information made available to Ika Weekly, Oshiegbu Patrick presented Patrick Chukwuyem to the Ogboni Confraternity, but Chukwuyem vehemently refused to have anything to do with the cult and her members.

Sources revealed that his stand annoyed members of the cult and they vowed that if he insists that he will not belong to the cult, he will be sacrificed, and they threatened that no matter where he runs to, as far as he remains on Nigeria soil, they will find him as they boasted that they have their tentacles in every part of the country.

Attempts to reach Patrick Chukwuyem Peacemaker proved abortive as information reaching Ika Weekly is that he may have left the shores of the country in fear of his life.
